A Classical Christmas

We are starting a two-month project for a collection of holiday songs called “A Classical Christmas”. These will be hymns and songs known by all that were written by classical composers,  with an accompanying web site that gives the back story of each song.

The project will be in coordination with our Music History Matters brand, and our new Creative Soul Classical brand that will be launching with this album.

Each song will be produced in an orchestral style, and offers a unique twist: We are looking for both vocalists and instrumentalists for this opportunity. We would love for up to half of the songs to be instrumental. If you are a pianist, lead guitar player, cellist, violinist, or any other lead instrument, please feel free to investigate this opportunity. We will also consider choirs, groups, and of course solo vocalists.

We will also be creating simple videos of each song and debuting them on our many YouTube and social media channels.

The songs we are considering include but are not limited to:

  1. Joy to the World – GF Handel
  2. Hark the Herald Angels Sing – Mendelssohn
  3. Themes from The Nutcracker – Tchaikovsky
  4. While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks – Handel
  5. We Three Kings
  6. Good King Wenceslas
  7. Away in a Manger
  8. Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus
  9. Jesus Joy of Mans Desiring – Bach

Please contact us if you have any thoughts on a classic Christmas song or piece from classical music literature you’d like to consider for this project.

If you have interest in this project, please contact us here for more information, including costs and time frame. We’d like production to start immediately, as we would like to roll out the site the 1st of December. This will be a digital release only because of time.
