We
didn't move our business to Nashville to break artists into the
marketplace, but to make better records and help artists develop.
But because we began making amazing products for ministry driven
artists, the marketplace came to us!
Now,
just like the amazing producers, musicians, studios, and engineers
we have here in Nashville, we have an equally amazing team of
distribution, radio, publicity, video, and promotional folks ready
to take our quality products and artists to the marketplace.
Creative
Soul Records, a new paradigm in the music business
As
we have made these industry relationships, our artists have found
a need to have us act as a label along side them. But instead
of the traditional model of selling our artists CDs and taking
that important income source away from them, our goal is to work
for artists not so much as a traditional label, but as a label
company. Helping make these relationships, putting together marketing
and promotional plans for each artist, and most of all, keeping
much of the income coming to the working artist.
Is
this for everyone?
Certainly
to keep a consistently high product quality, and reputation inside
the marketplace, we will certainly be very choosy about who we
will walk down these roads with.
Also,
how much an artist is out there working in ministry goes a long
way in determining who we work with as a label artist. We work
hard and expect our partners to work just as hard.
Many
artists have their own ideas about what they want to do, so sometimes
our production services are all they need to get going.
But
we have many programs, and endeavor to help all artists and writers
develop before, during, and after the production process, and
we can also offer some consulting services after the CD to help
in this area.
